The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was a part of the cast along with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the movie Badmash Company. The film received mixed praises. That same year Anushka Sharma appeared in the movie 'Band Baaja Baaraat' along with Ranveer Singh in the role of a middle class Punjabi girl who begins her own wedding-planning business. The movie received a great reception and was a huge success. The Band Baaja Baaraat anushka's three-film deal under the Yash Raj Films banner was complete.
